New York - Avril Lavigne is not a favorite among the Hollywood starlets. She has recently been bad-mouthing Britney Spears at every opportunity and now the punk-pop singer is at war with Hilary Duff.

In fact, Avril Lavigne used to be tight with Hilary Duff, but it came to a head when they both arrived at the same party. Handlers at the Maxim “Hot 100″ party (which named Lindsay Lohan as the hottest female of the year) were supposed to make sure that they both arrived at separate times and were kept apart.

However, the plan didn’t work out very well . The trouble started when both singers arrived at the same time. According to the Metro newspaper in New York, Avril Lavigne was furious and ready to leave the party. A source said that Avril was “threatening to take off.
