Former American Idol Star Taylor Hicks has a new love, Miss Caroline Lyders from Milwaukee’s News Channel 12.

“Yes, Taylor and I are friends,” Lyders told managing editor Bobby Tanzilo Wednesday morning, “and as a journalist I respect your asking. But beyond that, I’d rather not comment on my personal life.”

Caroline Lyders has been the morning co-anchor for the weekday edition of WISN “12 News This Morning” since October 2004.

The gossip blogs was abuzz after photos of Lyders and Hicks lounging and making out on a beach in Hawaii. Splashnews and TMZ covered the story first. It didn’t take long for Hicks’ fans to identify the bikini-clad woman in the photos as Lyders and link to
